Local Author Captures Wisconsin’s Artisan Cheesemaking Legacy
Wisconsin Cheese Cookbook: Creamy, Cheesy, Sweet, and Savory Recipes from the State’s Best Creameries is the latest book by Milwaukee-based food and travel writer Kristine Hansen. Hansen traveled extensively throughout the state interviewing cheesemakers and learning about how they continue traditions going back several generations. The book contains the cheesemakers’ stories, as well as page after page of recipes highlighting the fine, local craft cheeses produced throughout Wisconsin.
