DeAnna Tharpe, mother of two and an experienced, certified child-proofer, has developed a consulting business for baby planning. Similar to a wedding planner, Tharpe’s company, Elegant & Prestigious Baby Planner, customizes and empowers the client’s experience of having a baby. The company specializes in executing baby registries and showers, designing and stocking the nursery with baby gear, “baby-moons” (think honeymoon) and most importantly, educating parents-to-be about childproofing their home.

“Elegant & Prestigious Baby Planner takes the unexpected out of expecting," says Tharpe. She offers a Maternity Concierge Service, based upon the countless hours of research she’s done on each affiliate with whom she networks. “Whether you prefer holistic or conventional products, Elegant & Prestigious Baby Planner will be here to assist you with all things baby,” says Tharpe.

Tharpe will host a free meet-and-greet at Angelo’s Café Vino, from 1 to 8 p.m., February 25.
