Transcendental Meditation Program Expands
The Milwaukee Metro Area TM Center that has served the area since the early 1970s is expanding its program.
TM, otherwise known as Transcendental Meditation, is said to be an evidence-based technique that helps achieve peace and wellness. The TM instructors have recently moved into GreenSquare Integrative Health Care Center, in Glendale, while also continuing to provide classes and follow-up programs at the Inner Light Yoga Studio, in Wauwatosa.
The program welcomes aboard certified TM instructor Dr. Robert Rabinoff, a retired physics professor and IT consultant. Rabinoff joins fellow instructor Andrea La Fave in providing instruction in the TM technique, personal and group follow-ups and other advanced TM programs.
The center explains that TM is an effortless mental technique practiced for 20 minutes, twice per day. Over 700 studies have shown the wide range of benefits of TM in all area of life, including reduction of anxiety and stress, and improvements in mental and physical health, social relations and community life.
Introductory talks explaining the TM technique and the extensive research on its benefits are offered monthly to the public at both locations. A short introduction can be viewed at TM.org/videos.
GreenSquare Integrative Health Care Center is located at 6789 N. Green Bay Ave., Glendale. Inner Light Yoga Studio is located at 9207 W. Center St., Wauwatosa.
