New Yoga Studio Comes to Mequon
Paula Evans, a certified yoga teacher and experienced registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance, has opened Rise Yoga Studio at 1220 West Ranchito Lane, in Mequon. Her studio offers many classes for all ages and abilities, including ashtanga classes in both guided and mysore styles. With mysore, students are given individual attention in a group setting. Based upon the Ashtanga Primary Series as taught by Shri K. Pattabhi Jois, each student is taught the poses of the series one at a time.
Evans focuses on giving time and attention to each student, with special attention to working around injuries and restrictions. Rise Yoga Studio also offers hatha yoga basics, hatha/vinyasa classes, mindful flow, restorative yoga and heated vinyasa flow classes. Kids yoga workshops are also available. Additional yoga instructors include Keeley Matson, who will be teaching the heated vinyasa flow classes, and Kelley Julian, who will assist Evans in teaching ashtanga and hatha yoga basics.
