Monthly events at the four-room Shalom House Retreat Center facility include Sunday at Shalom for Families and Open Space for Women: A Time of Sharing Food and Thought. In addition, owner Diane Lipman will lead a quiet retreat from 6:30 p.m., May 12, to 11 a.m., May 13. Options for participants include meditation, dream exploring, Reiki treatment, family energy work, vision boards and more.
Located on 12 acres in the Kettle Moraine Forest, just outside of West Bend, Shalom House provides, “a beautiful, safe and caring environment where you can retreat from the busyness of life,” says Lipman, who facilitates retreats at the center. “Being silent means more than just not speaking. It means listening for the softest, most subtle sound of all—the sound of the soul.”
Shalom House accommodates up to 10 people; a one-night stay costs $150 and includes meals made from mostly organic ingredients.
