Holiday Open House at Kanyakumari Wellness Center

Nov 30, 2012 11:41AM

Kanyakumari Ayurveda and Yoga Wellness Center will host its fifth annual open house from 5 to 9 p.m., December 5. Center Director Cheryl Silberman says, “It will be a warm, blissful evening filled with 15to 20-minute complimentary mini-sessions of ayurvedic facials, massages, energy therapies and foods. We will also have drawings for wellness gift baskets and gift certificates for treatments with our practitioners. It is a great opportunity to enjoy a sampling of the beauty of Ayurveda with your family and friends.”

Ayurveda is the traditional healing system of India and the science of developing greater harmony with our environment through all of our senses. Originating in India more than 5,000 years ago, Ayurveda treats health and disease as the result of our beliefs, perceptions, thoughts and feelings and interactions with the world. Actions in harmony with our inner nature create health, while those disharmonious with our inner nature create disease.

Kanyakumari Ayurveda offers professional certifications and personal enrichment courses in both Ayurveda and yoga. Kanyakumari also houses a full-service ayurvedic clinic that provides individualized therapies and cleansing programs and an apothecary and wellness shop that stocks books and ayurvedic products such as neti pots, eye cups, herbs and massage oils. A Kanyakumari gift certificate makes a wonderful holiday gift for anyone that needs relaxation and pampering.
