The Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) will host the nation’s largest and longest-running educational event about energy and sustainability from June 21 to 23 at Renew The Earth Institute, in Custer. The event promises inspirational keynote speakers, children’s activities, building and gardening demonstrations and music. Local food and beer, produced via a solar-powered brewing process, are available for purchase. The MREA has also coordinated long-distance bus travel arrangements, extended workshops, renewable energy tours and camping options for purchase, in addition to standard admission.
