Yoga For Healing

When we find ourselves in times of stress, illness, grief or bumps in the road of life, yoga can be healing. Santosha Fitness yoga studio, in Delafield, has teamed up with Gentle Waves, LLC, to provide Yoga for Healing from 6 to 7:30 p.m., the first and third Fridays of each month, beginning in October, at Santosha Yoga Studio. Open to all levels of yoga participant, these free classes focus on specific topics and include breathing techniques, gentle or restorative yoga and/or meditation. After the group healing yoga session, a speaker will present useful information related to the topic.
Topics include essential oils, October 4; lymphatic release self-massage, October 18; anti-inflammatory nutrition, November 1; anxiety, November 15; self-reflection, December 6; and grief, December 20.
Gentle Waves, LLC, is a nonprofit program dedicated to educate, instruct and inspire individuals to raise their level of physical, mental and spiritual health in the treatment or recovery phase of a life-altering diagnosis. Mary Jo Esser, founder of Gentle Waves, is a certified cancer exercise specialist, fitness coach and cycling and yoga instructor with more than 26 years of experience in health and wellness.
