Find Balance and Peace Walking the Calvary Labyrinth
Dec 01, 2015 02:27PM
Calvary Presbyterian Church, in Milwaukee, invites people to walk the permanent indoor labyrinth painted on the floor in the style of the 12th-century labyrinth at the Cathedral of Notre Dame, in Chartres, France. The free walks are held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. every second and fourth Sunday of each month.
"Labyrinths are used worldwide to quiet the mind and to seek balance, peace and discernment,” says spokesperson Cindy Thomas. “They offer a tranquil refuge from a fast-paced world and provide the space to pursue a cross-cultural practice of centering and contemplation, long embraced by Christians and non-Christians alike.”
Location: 935 W. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee. For more information, call 414-271-8782 or visit BigRedChurch.com.
