SomatoEmotional Release Available at Ananda
The licensed and certified professionals at Ananda Acupuncture & Healing Center now offer SomatoEmotional Release (SER), a therapeutic process originally developed by the late Dr. John Upledger, founder of the Upledger Institute, and biophysicist Dr. Zvi Karni. The technique, a subtle form of healing, helps rid the mind and body of the residual effects of past trauma.
In addition to the release of traumatic energy, the goal of an SER session is to gain insight as to how the retained trauma influences one’s physical and emotional health. The SER process utilizes a comfortable, holistic mind-body approach which requires sensitivity and expertise on the part of the therapist, and a positive attitude and trust from the client.
“The healing process is a journey that continually takes us deeper into ourselves, often resulting in the discovery of old patterns or injuries that we thought were no longer affecting us. We cannot change the past. However, we can change its emotional charge—and the energetic hold that it continues to have on us,” says Aubrey Poglajen, owner of Ananda.
